Gomez ♥ Robnett 04.24.2010

For YEARS I dreamed of shooting a wedding...I just never thought it would happen. Justen, my husband, had been nagging me about getting a wedding job. I always used the excuse that it was too important of an event for me to just "wing it". After doing several family and animal portraits I almost had enough confidence to try and find my first wedding couple. Then one day Justen came home and told me that one of his coworkers was getting married and still needed a photographer. Later that day I recieved a message on Facebook from Michelle asking if I would be interested! We set up a time and place to meet to talk it over. I met Michelle and her fiance Don and all my worries instantly melted away. They were/are a very laid back and fun couple. Talk about the perfect people to be my fist wedding clients. They pretty much left it to me as far as what poses I wanted to do and where we would do them. So, on April 24th, my sister Ana and I went to the ceremony site. I was more worried about being nervous than I actually was nervous.

The ceremony was short and sweet (just like the bride) and all the guests seemed just as happy to be there as the bride and groom themselves.

It was a great group of people and a great experience. Thank you Don & Michelle for helping me get all the jitters out!

Here we go...

I've been told that the best way to "get your name out there" is to have a blog. So, here it is! After a few years of people telling me that I should become a photographer, I have decided to give it a go. I have had a passion for photography for well over a decade and this passion only continues to grow. You very rarely catch me without my camera. Now that I have kids I realize how quickly each stage, good or bad, passes. I know that my pictures can't make those moments last forever, but at least I am able to preserve the images of those moments for a lifetime.
